The most important part from the last six chapters I thought was how the author explained his shift in thought of what he was going to do with the short bus after his trip was over. Originally he was going to park the bus outside of his old elementary school as a sort of revenge because that is where he rode the short bus to as a kid. After his trip he realized that he couldn't get rid of the bus because he had so many memories of people and his journey that were a part of the bus and a part of him.
